It's Tackle it Tuesday over at Five Minutes for Mom, and as I wrote in my last post, I've been tackling a lot of unfinished sewing projects this week. The latest, a bunch of little girls' pajamas, cut out ages ago by my husband's grandma. The pajamas are too small for my girls now, but should be a perfect fit for my sister-in-law's two little girls. And they have birthdays coming up soon. Perfect!
I got one set finished over the weekend:
But now I have this left:
Three more sets of pjs to sew, one purple, two blue. I may be overestimating what I can do in a day, but I hope to finish these up and reclaim my dining room table. I'll post an update this evening. Wish me luck!
Update: 10:00 p.m.
Well, I almost made it. I got the second purple set done, then started on the blue, only to find it was a different pattern than the purple. I had to figure out which pattern it was, because the actual pattern pieces weren't attached, and there were four different patterns in the bag. Turns out, the blue ones were a little more complicated, with collars and facings. I finished one blue set, except for the buttons and buttonholes. The pants are done for the second set and the top is about halfway sewn. My table is still a mess. ;o)
All in all, not a bad day's work. I probably need another hour or two to finish the whole job, but I had to give it up for today. Maybe tomorrow...
I don't think I'd have made it this far without Tackle it Tuesday. Thanks for the motivation!

AND I LOVE YOUR CHOCOLATE QUILT
deena
awwww...those are adorable.
Cute pjs! Hope you finish the other pjs today! Your dining room chairs look a lot like mine. :)
I'm jealous, I can't sew :-( I've tried more than once things never turn out *lol* those look great!
Cute jammies! Reminds me - I need to get some sewn up soon. Your quilt is beautiful too.
Sometimes the hardest part of getting things done is the mess it leaves behind, kwim? I spent so much time on the projects that I don't have time to straighten up :)
Hey! Why didn't I think of that? Sewing for Tackle it Tuesday! Those PJs look awesome! Thanks for stopping by.
Good Morning,
Thank you for you kind comment and well wishes.
How beautiful , you must just glow in those colors. That is a wonderful gift to give yourself. The mess is the longer part to clean up. It is fun in itself too though. I love the end result when it is all cleared. It is the dread of clearing that is worse than the actual job of doing so for me.
I love the pjs. They are so cute. Thanks for stopping by to see my notecards.
Also, I saw your "chocolate quilt." that is beautiful!

I notice that these projects were started ad finished much later. Doesn't it feel GOOD!
I am such a non-sewing momma..... I've tried.... and tried.... The last time I tried to sew I had the great idea to use my boys old jeans and make a quilt. It is still sitting on my shelf.
